Hello and welcome to my little space on the internet, perhaps it's not just a coincidence you're here!
My name is Cindy and I'm a clinical psychologist, registered with AHPRA and member of the Australian Psychological Society, offering psychology sessions online (via video or phone), across Australia.
So much of the work I do comes back to one tender, human struggle: the feeling of not being enough and the constant noise of overwhelming thoughts and feelings. I understand what it's like to walk through life with this silent pain, putting on the mask and pretending everything is ok, when really you're falling apart inside. I see your tears.
It can appear in many ways — in battles with food and body image, in the relentless standards of parenting, in the vulnerable experience of pregnancy and postpartum life, or in feeling like you're "too much or too sensitive".
This is where I specialise:
If you’ve been struggling alone or trying to pretend you're fine for everyone else, I’d love to meet you and help you finally feel seen and heard. It's not all in your head and healing is possible.

From my experience supporting clients over the years, one thing I hear very often is "it feels like there's a battle going on inside me and I'm losing". This led me to the name White Poppy Psychology, as white poppies are traditionally laid down to signify the end of war. Finally being understood, validated and learning new ways of being with yourself is exactly what this feels like, the end of war.
At the heart of my work is connection. I believe the foundation of real healing begins with a safe, supportive relationship where you feel understood just as you are. Many of the struggles I work with — being "highly sensitive", eating disorders, body image concerns, postpartum and parenting challenges — are deeply tied to our relationships: with our bodies, with our children, with others, and with ourselves. We are often hurt in these places of connection, and it is also through connection that we can begin to heal.
Therapy with me is not about homework, diagnosis or ticking boxes. Instead, I tailor our work to your unique story and what feels safe and possible for you. We move at your pace, gently exploring the patterns that keep you stuck in self-doubt, shame, or struggle, and creating space for new ways of relating to yourself and those you love. My hope is that our sessions feel like a warm, grounding conversation — one that is compassionate but also practical in helping you move toward change.
I also offer a free 15-minute chat for new clients. This gives you the chance to get a sense of me and how I work, and to see if our connection feels like the right fit for your journey.
All sessions are conducted via telehealth (video or phone). The reason for this is that after years of working face to face, I discovered that many of my clients thrived better in the comfort of their own home. When we have less new stimulation to attend to (for example, a strange therapy room, admin staff, different lights, smells, sounds, travel time etc) we are more able to relax and welcome vulnerability. I encourage all of my clients to get comfy in their safe space, so please, bring your pillows, blankets, candles, warm drink, whatever makes you feel most at home.
If you’re in need of support, perhaps you've come across this site at just the right time. I invite you to reach out for a quick chat to see if this might be what you're looking for.
