Our deepest human need is to understand and be understood.
I'm Cindy, a clinical psychologist and I offer telehealth therapy within Australia for youth, adults and families.
I am deeply passionate about strengthening families, communities and the relationship we have with ourselves. The areas I specialise in are:
These areas are actually quite broad but to give some examples of who I can support:
My professional background consists of a mixture of community, hospital and private practice settings. I have worked in parent and infant mental health, supporting parents to connect with their little ones and navigate the difficulties of parenting in the early years, along with building support systems. I've also worked with youth experiencing complex mental health issues, often stemming from abandonment, bullying and extensive trauma. Most recently I have worked in private practice and built White Poppy Psychology to support individuals who often don't know where else to turn. Outside of this, I also work alongside a charity supporting students, parents and teachers to tackle bullying within school communities.
One thing I have learned both personally and professionally is that no one is "broken". There are always reasons why we struggle and stay stuck in patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. Through therapy, I am to help people see who they really are, underneath all the trauma and struggles they've been through. I support people to work through any shame they hold and to integrate their memories and experiences. There is room for all parts of ourself, we just need support to understand it and know what to do with it.
If you’ve been wondering if you should reach out for help, perhaps you've come here at just the right time. You can click on the booking link below to book an initial consult or if you would like to talk first, you're welcome to call or email me.
If this is the space for you, the next step is to decide if you would like to attend privately or underneath a mental health care plan or eating disorders plan. If you prefer to attend privately, please go ahead and make a booking.
If you would like to attend under a care plan to reduce out of pocket expense, please see your GP first. They will provide one of the following, depending on your needs:
Mental health care plan: access up to 10 Medicare rebated sessions per year
Eating disorders plan: access up to 40 rebated sessions per year
Before coming to your first appointment, it can be helpful to sit with the question, "If therapy was successful for me, what would change?".

All sessions are via telehealth (video or phone), allowing you to be in the comfort of your familiar space. Upon booking, you will receive a link to a secure online therapy room, which you can access on any device, or you will receive a phone call at the selected time. Please feel free to bring a cup of tea or coffee, along with anything else that helps you feel safe or at home.
If you’ve had enough of trying to figure it all out on your own, perhaps you've come across this site at just the right time. I invite you to reach out for a quick chat to see if this might be what you're looking for.
